Stanisław Czerwiński jest asystentem w Zakładzie Psychologii Uzależnień Behawioralnych w Instytucie Psychologii Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego (wcześniej w Zakładzie Psychometrii i Statystyki). W 2021 roku obronił tytuł magistra psychologii na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Od czasów studenckich jest silnie związany z Kołem Badań Psychologicznych „Experior”.


Jego działalność naukowa obejmuje obszary psychometrii, psychologii różnic indywidualnych, psychologii osobowości, uzależnień behawioralnych oraz dobrostanu. W swoich pracach zajmuje się m.in. tworzeniem nowych narzędzi psychometrycznych (np. do pomiaru uzależnienia od pracy czy cynicznej wrogości wobec sztucznej inteligencji) oraz badaniem właściwości już istniejących. Podejmuje przy tym zaawansowane problemy metodologiczne, takie jak kwestia równoważności pomiaru ze względu na poziom inteligencji czy testowanie modeli z trzema wskaźnikami za pomocą modelu tau-ekwiwalentnego. Jest kierownikiem grantu zatytułowanego „Funkcjonowanie psychospołeczne osób wybitnie uzdolnionych intelektualnie. Analiza danych kohortowych”, finansowanego przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki.


Mgr Czerwiński jest autorem i współautorem licznych publikacji w prestiżowych czasopismach naukowych, o łącznym współczynniku Impact Factor przekraczającym 70 punktów (stan na 21.10.2025)
